The drawing of the drapery folds and the horizontal line across one of them are closest to these two by the Hermaios Painter: the maenad in the tondo of Boston, M.F.A. 95.33 (ARV2 110, 3; Addenda 173) and the warrior or Amazon in that of Bochum S 489 (Paralip. 332, 8 ter; Addenda 173); the maenads on Munich 2589 by the Chelis Painter (ARV2 112, 1; Addenda 173). 1404 may be by either painter. |
