White marble with bluish veins. Found in ... 246/5 B.C ... Found in digging a hole for a tree at a point 1.50m. west of the Great Drain, 11.00m. south of the north end of the Metroon, lying in loose earth just below present surface. |
Appears to have fallen into the drain from above, after the drain was filled up. Hence need not to be contemporary.

Coarse brick red clay, with buff slip (?).

Preserved bottom similarly pitted; may or may not ... a) (Θ 1928) ca. 530-525 B.C., b) (Ε 626) last quarter of 6th c. B.C., c) ca. 600-590 B.C ... Fragment c) has no Section number.
