Dromos of a Mycenaean Tomb at N end of Stoa Terrace (Burial 3). No remains. Perhaps to be associated with dromos of a Mycenaean chamber tomb (?) observed in this area (XIV, p. 2707).

Thus one is forced to assume that enough of the wall remained at least ... Ca. 200-150 B.C ... After Sulla many of the blocks at the east and were pulled out, the north wall of court F was placed on the western foundations, but at a slightly different angle, and the wall as such ceased to exist.

Only the bottom 0.10 to 0.20m of the chamber was preserved along with the partial skeletal remains of two or three occupants. The plan revealed a square chamber (1.80m by 1.80m), ... Myc. III A 1:2 (14th c.) ... Apparently much of the tomb had been cut away by workmen who were engaged in digging the foundations for a large monument in the 4th c. |

Mycenaean Tomb to E of Stoa Shop 19 (ΣΑ 2).
Found while digging just east of Stoa Shop XIX, when came upon some bones, Mycenaean sherds and a pot. As the excavation was enlarged the legs of two skeletons ... Myc. III A:2 (2nd half of 14th c.) ... No sure limit to the tomb cold be fixed in any direction, although tunneling to the east the following year was done to a maximum penetration of 1.80m east of the Stoa Foundations. In this subsequent operation a broken skull, the bones of doubled-up skeleton, two terracotta figurines, other coils of lead wire and two more skulls were found. |
Evidence of stratification into five layers, although joins between the layers. Layer VI added when the construction of the Roman building above required it. No subdivisions assigned.
