Mycenaean Chamber Tomb SE of Stoa Pier 12 (Burial 8). Roughly rectangular, measuring 1.70m by 1.40m, and was cut down to within 0.65m. by the construction of the Square Building. A rectangular cutting ... Early Myc. IIIA ... Roughly rectangular, measuring 1.70m by 1.40m, and was cut down to within 0.65m. by the construction of the Square Building. A rectangular cutting at the northwest corner may have been the entrance, although this cutting may be later; the southwest corner of the chamber appeared to have been unfinished. Across the north end lay the single skeleton of a child with head to east, lying on its back with knees doubled up.

It consisted of a rectangular pit cut into bedrock to a depth of 0.44m, lined on all sides and covered with an admixture of narrow stone slabs of soft limestone, sandstones, and schist, varying in thickness between 0.020 and 0.150m. ... Oriented southwest-northeast, the inner dimensions of the tomb measured 1.64m long and 0.43m wide (external dimensions): 1.90m long, 0.65m wide). ... Woman 35-45 years old, placed on her back in a fully extended position, head to the southwest. The left lower arm lay across the waist; the right arm was bent, with the hand resting on the right shoulder.

Tomb located about 2m west/west-southwest of the EG1 child inhumation, beneath the restored line of a hypothetical wall connecting the western "apse' and the south wall ... Middle Geometric II ... Tomb located about 2m west/west-southwest of the EG1 child inhumation, beneath the restored line of a hypothetical wall connecting the western "apse' and the south wall of the Geometric House. ... A roughly rectangular trench was cut through earth into bedrock, except at the southeast where it was wholly cut into earth, to a depth of 0.15-0.20m. ... The filling consisted of hard earth, most of it burned and struck through with charcoal, which was especially thick on the floor of the trench, where some pieces were as much as 0.05m across. Cremated human bone was scattered throughout the filling, with the heaviest concentration at the east end.

Myc. III A:1 ... The rock from which it is cut, is the greenish clayey shale which underlies most of the Agora area. ... It was originally several meters longer but its northern end was cut off by a late Roman retaining wall. ... Its roof has entirely caved in, except for a small bit projecting at the north end of the west side; probably was not flat but slightly concave (all along the north side it seems that it rises from the sides toward the center). Across the east and west ends of the chamber there is a low rock-cut bench (average width 0.75m; average height 0.60m).
