Small squat jug with melon ribs. Blister ware; red clay, gray at the surfaces. Similar but the ribbing more careful: from Corinth, C-34-1028: Hesperia, VI, 1937, p. 288, fig. 23, 138 ... Context ca. 430-410 B.C.

Recessed underside. Reserved: resting surface and under- side with central dot. From the same deposit, P 16017 and P 16018 vary slightly. Other contemporary pieces are P 2346 R 13:4 Hesperia, IV, 1935, ... Ca. 450 B.C.

Rim and wall. One-handler (?). At edge of break below, a little of a raised edge. Suspension hole in rim. Light red clay with small white bits; warm buff surfacing. Matt black glaze wash on rim, just ... Context ca. 420-400 B.C. and earlier.

Agora XXIX, no. 1215

Single large fragment from top of lid. Dome divided into two zones by raised, reserved band with stamped egg and dart between grooves, with a ridge below. Above dividing band, a kernos sits on a mound, ... 350-300? ... The object on the mound can be identified by comparison to kernoi on coins (Svoronos, pl. 104:21--23) and tokens (IL 646 [Agora X, L 204, pp. 105--106, pl. 26]), which often have branches tied to either side. See also the image incised on the bottom of a Hellenistic lamp (L 1441 [Agora IV, no. 558, p. 138, pl. 24]).
