Fragment of lower wall with start of cul. Clay a bit gray (burned[?]). Max. dim. 0.063.
On wall, laurel wreath to right with fruit. On cul, tongue pattern.
At the very top there is a little bit of reserve ... Probably last quarter of the 5th century B.C ... For this class, see ARV2 984--985; Paralip. 437; Addenda 311. 1234 is probably from Howard and Johnson's Group VI (AJA 58, 1954 [ pp. 191--207], p. 194), but without more of the pattern, it is difficult to be absolutely certain. |
Three non-joining fragments, a with start of handle at far left and b of rim and wall; c of wall and ring base. Trace of circle on underside of floor. Max. dim.: a) 0.064, b) 0.045, c) 0.063. Est. H. 0.086 ... Probably late 5th century B.C ... For this class, see ARV2 984--985; Paralip. 437; Addenda 311. 1289 seems to be a slight variant on Howard and Johnson's Group VI, for it has a zone of chevrons between the two bands of laurel (AJA 58, 1954 [ pp. 191--207], p. 194). |
