The position of this acontist may have been very similar to one on the psykter in a Swiss private collection, attributed to a painter of the Pezzino Group (ARV2 1621, 3 bis; Addenda 157; NumAntClass 16, 1987, pl. 5:7), only reversed. ... This interpretation does not explain how the javelin overlapping the feet of the trainer on fragment a fits into the composition, for as Ashmead rightly remarks (p. 31, note 53), "there is not room for an acontist's body" in the space that would be available.
