[Deposit] I 16:7: Square Settling Basin

Located beneath line of Poros Gutter, from a square settling basin cut in bedrock at the north end of Trench II, South of Theseion, 1.30m below the modern road surface. The basin is lined with rough-picked ... Last quarter of 5th c. B.C.-early 4th c. B.C.

[Deposit] I 17:1: Well

Well at 75/ΚΖ (75/ΚΗ, 76/ΚΣΤ-ΚΖ). A dumped filling; an accumulation for the most part of the late 6th and early 5th centuries. Tiled well; of the lining only a single set of tiles, of unusual make, remained ... Ca. 450-425 B.C.

[Deposit] I 17:2: Square Well

At the northwest foot of Areopagus. Square stone-curbed well with no clear evidence for a period of use; appears to be a single dump ... Ca. 500 B.C.

[Deposit] I 17:3: Well

Digging terminated at 14.50m. due to falling bedrock. Scanty pottery remains at 10.00m. In the mouth and upper part of the shaft was a heavy dumped filling of much shattered fragments, for the most part ... Last quarter of 5th c. B.C.

Cistern shaft, part of cistern system in Η-Ι 16-17. Filling disturbed to bottom; general run of the pottery is to late Hellenistic, lamps as late as Knidos type. Finds from 60/ΙΘ-62/ΙΘ, 61/ΙΗ. "Some Arretine" ... 5 May 1932 18 June 1932

Red Figure Pocket in front of Retaining Wall at 74-77/ΛΖ-ΛΘ. Pit , a large cutting in bedrock, irregular in outline, reaching a depth of ca. 1m; dumped filling of alternating layers-broken pottery fragments ... Ca. 430-410 B.C.
