The figure of Aphrodite, slightly under life-size, stands with the weight on her right foot, the left foot free, the body showing a marked double curve. ... On her left arm and shoulder, thus supported, perches in a reclining position a small plump childish figure, naked, his right leg bent under him, his left knee raised, his right hand resting on her shoulder. Aphrodite wears a thin clinging chiton, girt with a cord below the breasts and around the shoulders, a simplified version of late fifth to early fourth century costume, similar to that worn by the Themis from Rhamnous.
