Mended from two pieces preserving part of up and ovoid bowl.
Coarse red clay around inner layer of gray clay, coated inside with fine red slip, blackened towards base of bowl.

Layer of coarse red clay surrounds funnel of roughly modelled finer blackened clay ridged at opening to gate.
Smooth gate, oval in section, is made of still finer, blackened clay. Part of second oval "Y" ... April, May 1956
