Mended from four pieces; chip of rim missing. Pear-shaped body with flat bottom, long neck and flaring lip. Micaceous pinkish-buff clay; traces of buff slip. ADDENDA: All breaks modern. Seven beads. Two small beads of blue glass paste, one of white glass paste, two small of black glass paste (?) and two of carnelian; also one of gold, together with fragments of other white glass paste ... 9 January 1954 ... Preserved with these, from this burial, is a small sea-shell (conus mediterraneus) ... Mycenaean chamber tomb opposite Stoa of Attalos, pier 15; in modern drainage ditch; pit under skeleton 4.

[Agora Object] P 24777: Lekanis with Lid

Small lekanis: intact. Low ring foot; rim flanged at inner edge to receive lid. Brown glaze inside and out save for reserved bottom. Lid: two joining fragments, one segment of rim missing. Flat-topped ... 2 May 1955 ... This lekanis-pyxis and the miniature chytra P 24778 (Τ 3209) were found at the edge of a modern wall; with them, fragments of at least two banded saucers. ... Disturbed pyre burial.
