Cup rests on broad ridge with slightly concave surface; pointed underside. Six grooves preserved on exterior. Emblem surrounded by two scraped grooves ... Ca. 200 ... Single fragment, broken all around.
Scraped groove at outer edge of preserved interior surface; groove on exterior wall and offset at edge, possibly beginning of rim. Painted both inside and outside ... 225-200? ... Ivy garland similar to that on P 1495 (Agora XXII, no. 408, p. 92, pl. 71 [H--K 12--14?]). For spearhead necklace with incised zigzag cf. 239 and 341. |
