| Description: | Broken away below knees. Head, right arm and left forearm missing. Small dowel hole for neck attachment. A standing draped female figure, with weight on right leg so that the body forms a pronounced S-curve. Her left arm rests on a small column and over it falls one end of the himation, which is thrown carelessly around her, the other end resting on her knees. Her chiton, which is girded high and falls off her left shoulder, clings closely to her body. Traces of the right hand remain on the right side. Sketchy work. Fragments of several other statuettes of this type found in neighborhood. Pentelic marble. Cf. Hesperia 81 (2012), p. 338, n. 152. | |
