Title:   Head of Female Figure

Description:   Small head, broken off at the base of the neck; a large chip broken from the neck and repaired; features damaged; part of the hair chipped away in front.
The hair, worn in a roll round the head, is drawn up into a peak over the forehead which thus appears triangular. The hair is very roughly worked; the face finished smooth, with a slightly soapy effect. The half-closed eyes are deep-set at the inner corners.
Pentelic marble.
