Title:   Statuette Fragment: Draped Female

Description:   Lower part of female figure moving right. The figure is preserved from just above the knees down and rests on a plinth, rough-picked below. Intended to be seen from one aspect though finished with fair care all around. Front presents right lower leg diagonally from bent knee right to long foot just leaving the ground left, holding back drapery from the ankle; formal folds in the archaic manner hang in front of it. Back view; soft folds through which one catch the form of the left (weight) leg.
Rather thick material represented. Signs of the rasp.
Pentelic marble.
