Title:   Statuette Fragment: Herakles

Description:   Head, legs and bottom of club-and-lion-skin support, missing. Left hand abrades between elbow and hand.
Conventional, nude Herakles (of Farnese type), standing leaning on his club. Left arm over club and resting on front of it at hip height. Right arm brought back to rest, palm out, on left buttock.
Musculature carefully done in front, back roughly finished.
Pentelic marble.

Context:   Late Roman aqueduct.
