| Description: | Fragmentary Zeus and Ganymede etc. Medallion, part of the wall and non-joining fragments of rim preserved. Medallion: A triple rosette surrounded by a scraped groove and row of beading. Calyx: Simple row of small pointed leaves. From it spring alternately four large spreading leaves and four smaller ones. Wall: Zeus and Ganymede, above and around them, Nikai, Erotes and birds flying. The upper zone consists of a band of ovules. Above it a line of beading surmounted by double spirals from which spring tiny leaves at intervals. Narrow reserved line in red wash below the ring. Firm black glaze inside and out. | |
