| Description: | Fragment from upper wall, with start of rim. Female figure carrying a large thyrsos; behind her, a satyr, right arm outstretched. At the right edge of the fragment is a bit of some object (white); possibly the elbow of a figure (?). Streamers in the field. The satyr wears a wreath, the girl a fillet with blob ornaments. Relief contour for profiles. White, yellowed over, for object at right and for thyrsos. White, much faded, for the maenad's hair ornaments, for streamers, and for berries of thrysos. | |
