| Description: | Mended from the pieces. At the right a partly draped seated (?) figure, right; then a woman in peplos with bordered overfold and opening, running right, carrying an alabastron and two embroidered taeniae, in her left hand, and in her right a small pyxis. She wears a saccos and looks back left toward another woman who also moves right but looks back left, her hand upraised, she wears a sphendone. At the left edge of the fragment part of the hair and sphendone of another figure. Running figures to right, looking back; from right to left: torso of male figure; himation around lower part of body. Woman holding alabastron and sash in the right hand, pyxis in the other; she wears peplos with black boarder and saccos; earrings. From the following woman, only the head and raised left hand is preserved; hair in sphendone. A bit of hair in the sphendone is only preserved from a third woman at the left edge. Wheelrun groove and egg pattern around knob, of which the stump remains. Dotted egg around down-turned rim. No relief contour. Glazed below. | |
