| Title: | Bowl Fragments with Rouletting | |
| Category: | Pottery | |
| Description: | Many fragments, mending into three non-joining fragments, preserving large parts of rim and side walls, none of base. Bowl with low sides and a high, nearly vertical rim, widely set off from walls. The rim is moulded, inside and out, with, outside, careful rouletting on the three raised bands. Fine pale pink clay, hard deep red glaze. Clay less hard and gritty, and lighter than the best Arretine, but this is surely Italian. Western Sigillata. | |
