Title:   Jug Fragment: Gray Ware

Description:   Single piece of upper body with a little of rim. No handle preserved. Low bellied form, conical above; a small sharply outcurved rim, part-flattened with beveled edge. On the body, delimited above by two irregular grooves, a band with vertical gouging arranged to form slanting "sprays" (slight secondary impressions on left of the main strokes). A slight added dent in the plain band below the rim.
Fine thin fabric: light gray (fine mica traces) with thin dull black slip applied by dipping, not coating whole of the interior. For the treatment, cf. P 33431.
