| Description: | Preserves part of floor and foot of a large plate with flat floor and high flaring rim. Heavy plain ring foot; underside moulded. On the floor near the center, a personage wearing a Persian cap, beneath an awning(?). Above to left, part of the bust of a female figure appearing out of the background. At right, the arm of a woman, raised as if dancing; streamers fall from her hand. Black glaze, firm inside; much worn and chipped outside. Glazed bands on underside. White with yellow details for flesh, for awning, for hair-ornaments, and for a wavy line near the front edge of the cap. | |
