| Description: | A small fragment of the rim of a Late Roman A bowl with relief decoration. On the inner side of the rim which has a distinct downward curve, is a fish in relief, left. The outer edge of the rim overhangs. It has a nearly vertical outer edge the upper surface of which is outlined above and below by a narrow groove. The fish apparently holds a ring in its mouth; its scales and fins are very clearly shown. Bright red clay; good, thin red wash. | |
