Man or youth (lower legs) and woman (chiton from mid-thighs, feet) both to right. Below, start of stopped-maeander pattern. White: woman's flesh; row of dots down center of her skirt.
Not from the same bell-krater as 495: the color and the texture of the clay of 496 are slightly different, and the glaze on the inside is duller.
