Small parts of rim and wall restored.

Very broad glazed groove in resting surface; conical underside; foot very angular, with no scraped groove between moldings. Deep lower body; low, slightly tapering upper body with concave wall.

Steeply rising, flaring spurs. Metallic black glaze.

For cup-kantharoi of similar shape cf. CVA, Mannheim 1 [Germany 13], pl. 36 [622]:1 and Langlotz 1932, no. 729, p. 132, pl. 223. Possibly a hybrid between the Classical kantharos and the Hellenistic kantharos with molded rim.
