Handle fragment.

High-swung handle with band of lattice running partway around lower end. Very hard, fine, light red fabric (2.5YR 6/6); shiny black glaze.

Decoration of base of handle occurs in Gnathia ware (Forti 1965, pl.

XXI:a) but not with this pattern. Fine fabric is possibly Attic, but I know of no parallels for this decoration in Attica.
