Large Vessel.

About half of lower body and part of foot and underside restored; upper part of vessel missing. Mended in antiquity; parts of two lead clamps preserved, with holes for two more.

High, flaring ring foot, slightly angular at top; flat resting surface; slightly convex underside. Decoration in dark brown glaze: broad band on foot ( partly fired red); at maximum diameter, broad band with two narrow bands above and below. Very micaceous, fairly hard, fine pink fabric (7.5YR 7/4); dull white slip (10YR 8/2).
