Heavy ring foot. Small heavy skyphos handle. Lid slightly convex; tall knob with disc top, the center depressed. Reserved: on the bowl, the rim and the flange, handle-panel, the outside of the foot, the resting surface and the underside; on the lid, the underside and the edge of the rim, the top of the knob with glazed circles and dot.

No close parallel for this piece has appeared, but its substantial construction and the shape of the handle suggest an early date.
